The Packers open the preseason against the Cleveland Browns at Lambeau Field for the second consecutive year. Green Bay Packers Hall Of Fame Inc. Announces Donation Of 1965 Packers Autographed Football

The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Inc. today announced the donation of a 1965 Green Bay Packers autographed football by the Chris Morey family of Monona, Wis.

The ball, in mint condition, contains autographs from the players as well as the coaches, including legendary coach Vince Lombardi.

Morey, then 13, received the ball Oct. 10, 1965, after the Packers' 27-10 victory over the San Francisco 49ers at Lambeau Field. Morey's father, Jay, took Chris to his first Packers game that day, and the two later went out for a meal before heading home. A number of Packers were at the restaurant and defensive end Lionel Aldridge gave Chris the ball.

An avid collector of baseball cards at the time, young Morey had the appreciation and foresight to take care of the ball and kept it stored and out of light for the past 45-plus years, only occasionally bringing it out to show family or friends.

Havner charges stalled

Curly's Pub To Have Specials And Activities Entire Three Days Of NFL Draft

Curly's Pub at the Lambeau Field Atrium will be the Green Bay Packers' official 2010 NFL Draft weekend headquarters, highlighted by an April 22, Thursday night party that will feature appearances by Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy, GM Ted Thompson and Head Coach Mike McCarthy, along with other Packers personnel and players.

The Thursday night party is free to the public and space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with party activities beginning 5 p.m.

This year's NFL Draft features a new, three-day format, with Round 1 beginning at 6:30 p.m. CDT, April 22, Rounds 2-3 beginning at 5 p.m. April 23, and Rounds 4-7 beginning at 9 a.m. April 24.

Tom Zalaski To Serve As Emcee For Hall's Induction Of Chmura, Fleming And Koch

Tom Zalaski, news anchor at WFRV-TV, the CBS affiliate in Green Bay, has been named emcee of the 40th Packers Hall of Fame Induction Banquet, to be held the evening of July 17, 2010, in the Lambeau Field Atrium. Mark Chmura, Marv Fleming and Greg Koch will be inducted at the event.

The Hall of Fame that evening also will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the first class to be inducted: Bernard "Boob" Darling, Lavvie Dilweg, Jug Earp, Cal Hubbard, Curly Lambeau, Verne Lewellen, Johnny (Blood) McNally and Mike Michalske.

A 33-year veteran of the Green Bay airwaves, Zalaski earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree in speech/broadcasting from Marshall University in Huntington, W.V., and began his career there while a student as a talk-show host for the local PBS station. He then worked at the local ABC affiliate, WOWK-TV.

A few years later, Green Bay became his home and WFRV has been his station for more than a decade. Z..
